Mota Crosslinking Business Academy names European Business Day award winners

By Ulises Chavez – Mota Crosslinking Business Academy celebrated the European Business Day Proclamation on July 28.

During the celebrations of this multicultural event, the audience witnessed the readings of the European Business Day written by MCBA and proclaimed by SC Governor’s Office, City of Columbia respectively. Moreover, the ceremony awarded and acknowledged individuals and business owners from the European community based on their contributions and economic impact in our state.

This year the awardees are:

  • Heidi Chavious – Community Advocate of the Year
  • Bohumila Augustinova, (Arts and Culture Specialist) – Art in Business of the Year
  • Terry Ward, West Metro News – Creative Business of the Year
  • Alysia Kehoe, Kehoe Consultants – Business of the Year

“I’m honored and surprised that my company is getting this award. I embrace all cultures and ethnicities,” said the Business of the Year awardee, Alysia Kehoe of Kehoe Consultants. The event attendees enjoyed food and drinks from all over Europe along with music and cultural displays.

“Our goal is to continue bringing the business community together and recognizing the pacesetters. We like to take this opportunity to thank all the individuals behind this event, our awardees and partners that contribute. it takes a village to make it happen,” commented Vanessa Mota, Director of MCBA.

Located in West Columbia, South Carolina, and directed by Vanessa Mota, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy, is a bilingual-multicultural institution with a global reach, providing the community with continuous education of future entrepreneurs and those already established.

The academy provides programming, training, and technical assistance throughout South Carolina. Additionally, the academy provides wellness programs, business skills for kids and teens, and business personal development. In all of the courses, MCBA awards numerous partial and full scholarships to new students. In addition to promoting equality, inclusion and diversity through the Crosslinking Markets program.
