Monetta Fire Station dedicated to fallen Cayce Police Officer Roy ‘Drew’ Barr

Members of the Cayce Police Department attended the dedication ceremony of the Monetta Volunteer Fire Department, Saturday. The station was renamed in the memory of fallen Cayce Police Officer Roy “Drew” Barr.

Barr was shot and killed on duty, while responding to a domestic violence call in late April.
The Monetta Volunteer Fire Department now has a new sign honoring Barr. There is also a placard with a tribute to Barr.
Barr was a volunteer firefighter in the Monetta community, where he was from.
