A large crowd turned out for the ribbon-cutting at Gentleman’s Quarters barbers, Thursday.
Gentleman’s Quarters opened at 117 State Street, West Columbia. It’s in the Brookland development, close to the corner of State and Meeting streets.
The ribbon-cutting was sponsored by The Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce. Dominic Peterson is the owner. The business moved from Sunset Boulevard.
West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles characterized the new shop as a beautiful facility in the “Heart of the River District.” West Columbia Councilman Joseph Dickey also attended. Gentleman’s Quarters is in the district he represents.
C-WC Chamber President Tim James called Gentleman’s Quarters a luxury barber shop where you can get a hot shave with a hot towel, along with a haircut.
Palate, which is across the street, served food for the event.
