COVID hospitalizations drop to under 100 at Lexington Medical Center

Lexington Medical Center reported Monday that there were 84 patients being treated for COVID. For the last two weeks the number of COVID patients at LMC has declined.

The number of serious cases has declined, too. There were 22 with COVID in the Intensive Care Unit reported Monday. A majority of COVID patients at LMC had not been vaccinated, according to the hospitals posts.

Also, according to numbers published on LMC’s Facebook page there have been three or four COVID-related deaths each day for the last two weeks.
Last Monday (Sept. 20) there were 129 at LMC with COVID and 37 were in ICU. On Tuesday, that number was 123 with 35 in ICU. Wednesday there were 115 in the hospital and 26 in ICU. There were 110 Thursday and 106 Friday.
