Staff members of the City of West Columbia participated in Adopt-a-Family for Christmas. The total amount raised was $1,034.
With the funds contributed by employees of the city, presents were bought for children of families struggling because of hardships this year.
West Columbia Fire Chief helped load the presents donated on a fire truck and Santa Claus rode in the fire truck to give the presents to the children of the Adopt-A-Family. City employees Darlene Brown, Sara Johnson, Michelle Haynes went along for the ride to help distribute the gifts. West Columbia Police Officer India Taylor was on the scene to help give out the gifts, too.
The families helped expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for living in such a great city like West Columbia. (City of West Columbia photos)
