2 schools, Saluda River and Busbee have been awarded arts grants

Two Lexington Two schools have been awarded arts grants.

Saluda River Academy for the Arts has received a $12,500 Arts in Basic Curriculum grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission for the 2021-2022 school year. The school plans to use the funding for four artists-in-residence, professional development for teachers,  community events,  student performances,  and curriculum materials.

Busbee Creative Arts Academy received a 2022 Distinguished Arts Program grant of nearly $12,000. Busbee plans to use the funding for the Arts Odyssey Project.

Both schools have been awarded these grants in previous years as well.
