Fewer than 20 teachers absent from Brookland-Cayce, Airport High Schools

Lexington Two has a higher than normal number of teachers at Airport High School and Brookland-Cayce High School who requested personal illness leave Friday — roughly less than 20 at each school, according to a Lexington Two news release.

The principals at each school worked diligently to arrange for substitutes for all classes, and the instructional day is proceeding on a normal school-day schedule.

On Tuesday, three high schools closed after the Lexington-Richland Five School Board refused to return to a hybrid class schedule that kept students home three days a week.
