One person was killed early Thursday morning after a truck veered off the road, and struck a guard rail.

The incident occurred in Lexington County around 2:55 a.m. near mile marker 61 westbound on I-20, said Cpl. Sonny Collins of the SC Highway Patrol.

The driver of a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup truck, traveling west, ran off the right side of the road and hit a guard rail. The collision resulted in the driver’s death, said Collins.

The driver, who died, was the only occupant of the vehicle.
